Credenza of the Week: Blue & Orange

Ahhh my two favorites meet again!!
I don't know if it's just because I am hyper sensitive to seeing these two colors together (since I'm putting them in my home study), but I feel like lately I have been bombarded by these two colors together!!
which brings me to this week's credenza:
I absolutely love the detailing on the actual credenza piece. The blue chevron rug and the orange boxes stacked underneath complete the setting and make it irresistible.

Chandelier for Every Room: Living Room

Just 'cause it's got a chandelier, doesn't mean it has to bee stuffy and formal. Here are some awesome rooms that have chandeliers in the Living Room but still make me want to sit and chat with friends or snuggle up with a good book:
I love so many of these! I am definitely racking my brain to determine the best place for one of these dramatic light fixtures is in my home...XOXO

Not Your Ordinary Headboard

Though I really love traditional headboard (esp fabric covered headboards in awesome colors & prints!), I thought some of these designs were really well done. Take a look:
Which one is your favorite?
I think mine is either of the beds with the mantle above it or the bed with the giant map of Paris on the wall behind it!!

Sometimes It's fun to be a little off beat...Have a happy day!!

Restaurant Review: Los Angeles

WP24, Wolfgang Puck's restaurant on the 24th floor of the Ritz Carlton LA LIVE in downtown Los Angeles, serves up a one-of-a-kind experience!
A girlfriend and I enjoyed an incredible meal there last time the two of us were in LA. I ordered the "Angry" 2 pound Maine lobster and cannot say enough good things about it. Though the presentation was a little intimidating, that did not stop me from diving in and thoroughly enjoying myself!! The flavors were incredible and have since left me with an unbelievable craving for more!
Next time you are in LA, be sure and stop by if not for the delicious food, but for the incredible views of downtown LA.

Have an awesome weekend!!

Delightful Dining Spaces

Strangely, though I rarely eat a meal at a formal dining table, I do love charming breakfast nooks and dining spaces.

Most of my meals go like this:
Breakfast: don't eat it; best case, I eat a bag of grapes in the car on the way to work
Lunch: grab and go meal or healthy salad eaten at my desk while working
Dinner: so exhausted from the long day and from cooking that Mr. and I usually plop down at the bar in our kitchen or worse, sit on the floor around our coffee table in front of the tv.

Here are a few beautiful spaces that would make for a delightful dining experience:

Now don't you just want to curl up in one of these spaces with a delicious meal and a bestie to chat with? I will definitely be designing my next house with a space like this in mind!!

 Have a good one!!

Credenza of the Week: Rustic

I stumbled across this decor design from Tara Sloggett and fell absolutely in love the color of this credenza.
It is so pretty against the white walls and next to the tall lamp. I love the monochromatic blue in the credenza and the lamp shade but more than that, I love the color pop from the lamp shade.
Very rustic and so cool!

Laundry Lady

Our home is absolutely beyond perfect and I am so thankful for it! However, if I was to add one thing to it, it would be a laundry room. I had no clue the amount of laundry one husband could produce! It truly is a remarkable feat.

Right now, this is about what I have only without the cute paint or the ability to have shelving & hanging iron board since our laundry closet is visible from the kitchen and family room:
So I like to think about the organization, functionality and characteristics I would like in my laundry room (yes, I am silly I know):

Lots of counter space and a big window: (I also love the white subway tile!)
Lots of baskets for sorting clothes:
Love these counter tops & the pretty blue bottles:
Love the splash of colorful wallpaper, the wire cabinets and the chandelier!!
Another big window, long counter and a pop of color:

A girl can dream can't she :) Have a wonderful weekend!!
