I have to say that I was so surprised to find this little gem in the MidWest. When I was in Madison last Fall, we stayed at the delightful Mansion Hill Inn in Madison, WI.
It's architecture and history was wonderful but even better was the kind and accommodating staff that was ready to help with anything to make our stay more comfortable. The rooms were well decorated and extremely welcoming and made you feel right at home.
I wish all hotels were like this! It would make life on the road a lot more enjoyable.
