I stumbled across some portraits yesterday that I found very beautiful. The settings are a little unusual which is perhaps what makes them so fascinating and full of character. Who would have thought that our Power Plant here in Austin would serve as such a beautiful backdrop for a bridal portrait?


Or that these power lines could provide such an interesting element to this photograph?

or how darling this couple could look playfully posed in front of a garage?

Somehow these more industrial settings compliment the pretty elegance of these brides and couples in a way that's really perfect. Though a shot like this wouldn't have fit into the portfolio from my wedding day, I think they are really charming. Have a good one!
